Grace Kelly, a famous Philadelphian actress, who became Princess Grace of Monaco What’s New at PHL Airport With a signature scent, Modern Prestige, created exclusively for the space, the PHL Centurion Lounge will definitely engage your senses with food, drink, design, and smell. If you want to impress me, you need to do your research and honor Philadelphia – the black and white photos do that quite nicely. When I saw the Philly photos of the 1980 World Series Phillies, Will Smith & Jazzy Jeff and the legendary Princess Grace of Monaco (formerly Grace Kelly) I smiled. As the eighth Centurion lounge in the U.S., the space is warm and welcoming with a mix of woods, warm colors and modern comfort with pops of color (and a ton of pillows). Luxury comes to the Philadelphia Airport in the form of the American Express Centurion Lounge at PHL (PHL Centurion Lounge). I enjoyed my short visit to the lounge but I plan to stay longer during the next visit.View of the lounge seating options and television The design shocked me initially, but grew on me. I appreciated the intimacy of the lounge. It was quiet throughout the entire space. The Admirals Club in Philadelphia was a welcomed break from the hustle of the terminal. Admirals Club Philadelphia Business Center The space was quiet and guests had adequate space. I poked my head into the business center which was located back near the main entrance. I was not very hungry so I grabbed some eggs with sriracha and a jack and coke.īefore too long, it was time for me to make my way to the gate for my flight home. There were quite a few drink stations near the bar. Admirals Club Philadelphia Avocado Toast Station This was the best complimentary food offered so the attendant stayed busy. To the left of the bar was the avocado toast station. Admirals Club Philadelphia Breakfast Admirals Club Philadelphia Breakfast ![]() The main area had hardboiled eggs, fruit, yogurt, and bagels. Since it was breakfast, the typical Admirals Club food was offered. Admirals Club Philadelphia Bar Admirals Club Philadelphia Seating Some seating was available at the bar top or on either side of it, in the dining area. One decent sized seating area was tucked away on the right side of the lounge. I appreciated the views of the parking ramp. I saw families sitting in these semi-private areas. The left side of the lounge contained many more seats. It was something I had not seen often in airline lounges. I liked the concept, it was also a cellphone free zone. There was a quiet area to the right after entering the club. I provided my boarding pass and military identification to the agent. Admirals Club Philadelphia Entrance Admirals Club Philadelphia Front Desk ![]() The area remained empty while I checked in. It was very big and included arrival/departure boards. ![]() In fact, the escalators to the club were just past Starbucks on the left.Īfter getting off of the escalator, I made a left towards the front desk. The club was difficult to find initially because I assumed it would be connected to the main walkway. I made a right towards the shops to seek out the Admirals Club. There was a bit of a wait at the security, but I still made it through in less than 15 minutes. An agent saw the bewildered look on my face and told me I could go right to the regular security checkpoint or take the escalator up to the TSA checkpoint at Terminal C. As I left the counter, I looked around for signs to the security checkpoint. The check in for my flight to Dallas was painless. I returned the rental car and took the shuttle over to a drop off point between Terminals B and C. Some weeks ago, I found myself at Philadelphia International Airport after a work trip to New Jerseyand Delaware.
